Darrell Peart calls home Seattle but he's frequently traveling about, teaching his expertise. Author of one definitive book on Greene & Greene furniture and technique with yet another on the way, he has established himself in the forefront of his field. The furniture on his website proves truly remarkable but if you ever get the chance to see it for yourself, don't pass up the opportunity as you will then experience the nuances which really sets his pieces apart from the rest.
I had the distinct pleasure of taking a class from Darrell at the William Ng School of Fine Woodworking in Anaheim. In five full days, four of us were privileged to learn some of his technique in building his Freemont Nightstand. It was during that class that, tired of listening to me blab on about my woods, that he decided to check out our stock, and has been a customer ever since. Although his initial interest was in our genuine Honduran Mahogany, he quickly took a liking to our other exotics and even selected some cocobolo for a piece he has 'on the drawing board' for his own personal use.
Make sure to check out his site, a link to which is provided below.
